Okay girls, don't act too shocked...I actually completed a layout to go with one of my photos of the day. Christian took the picture of me and I just had to use it. It's not the most flattering picture, but it will always bring back memories of having fun and being silly with my boys!
The layout uses four sheets of coordinating paper, white card stock, two coordinating ribbons, a XL button, 3 regular buttons, and 2 small chipboard flowers. I created a small file folder out of white card stock and matted my photo on it. I left it open on one side so I could put a journaling block inside. I tied a ribbon around the left edge of the file folder. I then matted the file folder on one of the coordinating pieces of patterned paper. I used foam squares to attach the piece onto the page to add a little dimension. I also left the top open so I could add another journaling block. I then added a piece of ribbon across the bottom of the page and embellished one corner with the XL button and the chipboard flowers. I printed the date on white card stock and matted it on a second coordinating patterned paper. I placed three small buttons on the top corner of the title. The journaling is printed on white card stock and adhered to the third of the coordinating papers. The fourth coordinating paper is used for the background of the layout.
As I was putting my layout together, the boys were asking what I was doing. I told them about the challenge and my desire to take a year to reflect on my life. They were excited about the idea of taking a picture everyday and they are now on board with the challenge! I will continue to keep you updated on our progress.
